Three questions to understand whether your child is ready for OC

If you're reading this, you're a caring parent who wants to do the best for their child, and that includes OC. You might be thinking about preparing for tests, including buying books and considering private tutoring. But before you do any of that, start with understanding whether your child wants/is ready for OC classes. The test is only the entry point. Once your child gets in, they'll need to be ready for more challenging schoolwork and being surrounded by peers who'll also be academically strong.

Here's a simple script you can use to check in with them on whether this is the path they want to take:

This might not be a one-time conversation. You may need to gently ask over a few separate conversations. That's okay! You've got this. Getting your child invested in the journey means that test preparation will be something they'll be motivated to do, rather than something they feel like they have to do.
